Pennsylvania Faces RGGI (Carbon Tax) Reality

Pennsylvania is in a tug of war over electricity production. Governor Wolf is trying to unilaterally force the state into joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, or RGGI, without any legislative authority. The Governor doesn’t have that power. If PA was to join RGGI (a carbon tax scheme), the economic consequences for blue collar workers and their families, electricity consumers and providers, and the state as a whole would be extreme.
