MOSCOW (SR) – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has warned the Obama administration against adopting further socialism, saying Russian history clearly proves it is a recipe for failure. “Any fourth grade history student knows socialism has failed in every country, at every time in history,” said Putin. “President Obama and his fellow Democrats are either idiots or deliberately trying to destroy their own economy.” ... The Arizona border is just great for all the unwanted criminals, drug cartels, foreign terrorists that want to destroy America. What goes through your mind, @joebiden

Ed,
I agree with you, I know Wikipedia is not a reliable source for accurate commentary on anything (aka ‘Wikedpedia’ lol) — I only ever use it as a quick reference for basic info, i.e. dates and stats on people and organizations (e.g. founders names, background etc. re MEMRI).
It’s easy enough to pick out the relevant data for applicable details. My only point was the need to consider the normal, natural bias (and/or stated agenda) of any source in order to accurately evaluate what’s presented.
It’s definitely not easy to question such things when they appeal to and agree with our most cherished beliefs, of course, but I’ve realized that’s just when the effort is needed to avoid being socially and politically manipulated.

One problem that patriots have is that there are a lot of us, and we’re not all on welfare and spending our money on drugs. So we’re a market.
And there are people who have realized this, and who have set up websites whose sole purpose is to make money selling advertising aimed at patriots.
These websites carry all sorts of “news”, usually with click-bait headlines and with no concern at all for the reliability of their sources. They’re there to ‘enterain’ their viewers — and sell ads to those who want to sell things to those viewers — not to enlighten or educate them.
This is a serious handicap for our side. It’s as if the Left is running an “disinformation” campaign among the conservative base.
So … it’s very good to see people on our side who are concerned about being scrupulous with regard to sources. We need much more of this.
Of course it’s infuriating to see supposedly-neutral sites like Wikipedia and Snopes, obviously slanting their material in favor of the Left. But the answer to Left dishonesty and bias is not Right dishonesty and bias. We’re not like them, or shouldn’t be.

The intended emotive/propaganda effect is evident, of course, but is there no other info, reference source or context for this (apart from Memri tv) as to who, what, when or where this is supposed to be — addressed to and recorded by whom?

sosUSA,
Thanks for commenting.
MEMRI is well known and respected for their unbiased revelations of what the Political Islamists say in their own language to their followers versus what they say in English for our consumption.
I think it was they (or CAMERA) that correctly translated what Yasser Arafat really said in Arabic for our TV’s which was almost the opposite of his ‘official’ translators version.
I forget the date of this but the fact remains is that this is a daily occurrence in the Middle East and in Islamist Mosques in the western world including the USA. All mosques financed by the Saudis will probably have this type of inflammatory rhetoric.

I don’t doubt the accuracy of translation (also easily confirmed by Arabic speakers), like the Arafat speeches. I just think it is helpful to know the identity, location, full context and time frame to better evaluate edited content. Not sure any intel-based organization dealing with the Middle East could really be considered “unbiased” though – especially when the political history is understood. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East_Media_Research_Institute

As Tony reminds me Wikipedia is not known for it’s accuracy and is generally slanted toward the Left. This is especially true of posts regarding anything involving politics.
(Not to blow our own horn, but in fact PA Pundits – International is much more accurate than Wikipedia)
We both do use Wikipedia for some things, like images or geographical info, but generally I take them with a grain of salt.
Political Research Associates (PRA), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_Research_Associates
which is quoted at the top of the article on MEMRI, is an extremely Leftist organization! Read the post on them especially toward the end.
“PRA is supported by a number of progressive and liberal activists …” Hmmm I wonder why?
“PRA is likewise criticized by conservative groups…” and for good reason.
I got so tired of reading them and ferreting out their mistakes (lies) through research that I gave up reading anything that they put out. It’s just an exercise in futility and a waste of my precious time.
Re: video “Ron Paul – Israel Created Hamas 01-09-09”
My hearing is especially bad today – poor hearing plus allergies and sinus problem – that I have a difficult time hearing any vids.
But I agree with the title. If Israel didn’t give up Gaza there would be no Hamas hurtling tons of rockets toward civilians on almost a daily basis!!!
Our Presidents, including the Republicans, stupidly listen to and follow our State Department’s erroneous Leftist mandates re: Israel and their land.
I used to say they started their Leftward spiral from about the end of WWII. They pushed for support of Mao and his “Agrarian” reform against all the advice from knowledgeable people in the field that knew Mao and gang for what they really were.
But I did more research and found I was mistaken. They started their Leftist spiral around WWI.
