If you are in a jazzy wheelchair you cannot get into the Duryea borough council meetings because the lift they use for people who cannot use the steps is not even close to CODE or size needed for an electric wheelchair.

Only in Duryea do you scan the morning classified to see your tax dollars are again paying for the legal defense of the mayor…

Only in Duryea do you beg the mayor & council since 2006 to post a sign for NO TRUCK turn around on the entrance to your tiny 2 home dead end road. And I nicely begged them, to please have the borough garbage truck stop backing up from Main ST to pick up my garbage, backing up into my home, with 62 backup beep Alarms that are causing me seizures. Then find out the day you again begged for it to be discussed at the town meeting (May 9th 2017). The council goes behind every tax payers back, and votes to open a daycare pre-school in a decrepit 1920’s garage built for strip mining equipment on the property adjoining yours.

A very dangerous structure built literally out of 1920’s asbestos concrete blocks, and which they know that the foundation of this dangerous structure has been crumbling since 2008. This is it presently…

Don’t you know it, the communist bastards backed in the mayors’ dead end street WITH NO BACK UP ALARMS ON!!! Only in Duryea, Pa.

Best thing that ever happened in Duryea, Pa. for the little children was when this structurally dangerous building was closed down.

Not only was it good for the little ones, it was a godsend to the neighboring homeowners surrounding this hell-hole. Over 70 children plus workers put over 90 vehicles twice a day idling exhaust fumes and noise into our HOMES not nine feet away. Not to mention the trucks servicing this illegal business, and the health problems arising from the constant noise and truck backup alarms breaking what is considered an acceptable safe noise level.

Out of the depths of hell a new owner bought this structurally damaged building, and I even went to the Luzerne County Zoning board meeting on June 6, 2017. The Duryea Borough Council also sent a member to lie and support this dangerios structure. I took letters from doctors and photos of the unsafe overcrowding of this tiny area. But the scandalous “Kids For Cash” Luzerne County zoning board approved this 1920’s strip mining garage for use as a pre-school daycare. With the “Kids for Cash” gone, they need your tax dollars in the form of Grant money (for now), for toddlers, and fix this 1920’s crumbling asbestos concrete building? The corrupt just keep on robbing the good taxpaying folks bind…not only in Duryea, Pa.

Now I am wondering what construction workers will do with the old asbestos, and can they actually fix the crumbling foundation of this old brick garage that once housed an oil pit, and strip mining equipment? Can or will the #Early learning Preschool Development Grant (#PDG) program, which is a $250 million discretionary grant competition jointly administered by the U.S. Departments of Education actually be able to fix this sinking crumbling garage for little children to use safely? or will the funds come right from the Pennsylvania’s State Plan for Child Care Development Block Grant (#CCDBG). A Billion dollar industry of free tax money for the taking…For whom without a conscience in #Duryea or #Pittston is the LOCAL, who does the building safety inspections for pre-school daycares?
