Check out this video of an extremely disturbing news report from Atlanta-based TV station WSBTV-2. This report focused on illegal aliens crossing our nation’s extremely porous southern border.
When you click on the link above, you will see an excellent piece of journalism concerning how our nation’s failures to secure our borders have literally opened the door to the prospect of terrorist attacks in the United States. The two people who were interviewed for this excellent report were Dave Stoddard, a retired United States Border Patrol Agent who I previously met during one of my trips to Arizona some time ago and former United States Congressman J.D. Hayworth who attended the Immigration Reform Caucus hearing at which I testified approximately five weeks after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
After you watch the video that appears when you click on the link above, you will notice that there is a second report to be found among several thumbnail articles that appear on the website. This article continues to provide even more disturbing information about how the government is not longer even providing information about illegal aliens who are apprehended and are citizens of “Special Interest Countries” that is to say foreign nationals who are citizens of countries associated with terrorism. Even a member of Congress who was interviewed on camera stated he had no idea as to the number of these aliens because he had been unable, as a member of Congress, to obtain this information. He had to ask the news reporters for a copy of the leaked report!
As disturbing as these video reports might be, roughly a month ago I wrote a commentary predicated on an equally troubling Washington Times news report that disclosed the fact that Iran has sent their “shock troops” to Venezuela. You can read that commentary and many others I have written by visiting my website.
As I noted in my commentary last month, there would be no reliable way for Border Patrol agents, ICE special agents or other law enforcement officers to determine if an “undocumented” alien who could speak fluent Spanish was from a Middle Eastern country such as Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, etc., or was actually a native of Latin America if the alien in question claimed to be a citizen of a Latin American country. This problem would be further exacerbated if the illegal alien in question had a Venezuelan passport that identified the bearer of that travel/identity document as being a citizen of that country and attributed a typical Hispanic name to him (her).
Now I want you to contemplate how many in Washington from both political parties are licking their chops in anticipation of a massive amnesty program under the aegis of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform.”
There are many, many reasons why Comprehensive Immigration Reform would be disastrous for our nation- but first and foremost is the issue of national security.
One of the principle goals of terrorists who succeed in entering our country is to acquire, in any way possible, lawful immigrant status and United States citizenship. Generally this involves committing fraud.

I can assure you that there is absolutely no way that our government and especially the beleaguered adjudicators at USCIS would be able to determine the true identities of any of the millions of undocumented aliens who would line up in front of federal office buildings across the nation to obtain lawful status but who have no way of providing reliable evidence as to their true identities.
What is infuriating was that the reporter in the first segment noted that when they attempted to contact the Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, she refused to be interviewed or even return the calls made by the reporters.
I would remind you that Ms Napolitano is the same individual who declared that anyone who wants our nation’s borders secured against the illegal entry of illegal aliens into our country were “extremists.”
I also find it ironic that the same federal government officials such as the Obama administration and members of Congress yelped like scalded cats when the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer and members of the Arizona state legislature attempted to address the failures to secure our nation’s borders and create an immigration system that has real integrity. The White House and many journalists publicly condemned Governor Brewer about the potential that local and state police officers might engage in “profiling” our federal “leaders” believe that the adjudicators at USCIS would be able to discern the difference between illegal aliens from Latin America and the Middle East when these aliens cannot provide a shred of documentation to attest to their true identities, if the national suicide pact known as “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is enacted!
It is astounding that politicians from other states would call for boycotting businesses in Arizona because the state government of Arizona is attempting to combat alien smuggling, drug trafficking, kidnapping, home invasions and national security related issues!
What chutzpah! What a demonstration of complete and utter stupidity!
I think everyone in the United States should be sending Governor Brewer and the members of Arizona’s state legislature thank you cards and make a point of visiting Arizona when vacation time roles around!
The greatest threat to our nation is that far too many of our nation’s “leaders” are so intent on furthering trade and globalism that no matter the risks to national security and no matter the harm it may do to the average American citizens who simply want to support themselves and their families and grasp their share of what we used to call “The American Dream” that they will do and say anything to keep our borders open and encourage a limitless flow of cheap and exploitable workers and potential voters to come to the United States both legally and illegally.
Of course the legal system is not really a legal system in all too many instances because the system lacks any real integrity. Visa fraud and immigration fraud enable aliens to easily game the immigration system and acquire lawful status including resident aliens status as signified by the issuance of a “Green Card” and even United States citizenship to which they would not be entitled if the system had integrity.
The goal of the terrorists is to gain entry into our country and then hide in plain sight. In the parlance of the 9/11 Commission this is known as embedding.
Of 94 terrorists who were identified as operating in our country in the decade before the terrorist attacks of 9/11 some 59 were identified as using immigration fraud and immigration benefit fraud to enter our country and/or embed themselves in our country in communities across our nation. Of course these were the terrorists who were identified. How many went undetected? How many might be here right now?
In the immigration version of the popular childhood game of “Hide & Seek” the illegal aliens and the terrorists and criminals among them hide but there are few special agents of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) who are doing the seeking.
Perhaps it is the lack of resources that are hobbling efforts to locate those citizens of Somalia who have managed to hide themselves somewhere in our country.
