An Iraq Veteran has a personal message for Barack Obama.
A beautiful video, from the heart of one who has sacrificed much to allow the B.O.s of the world the Freedom to bash this Great Country – The U.S.A.
This is a moving message! Watch near the end after he walks away.

Ok, I’ve had enough. Robert, you attack the “rich” so I presume you are not in that category, and Wendi, you “agree” with him. I suppose I would fall into the “rich” category, as I make slightly over $300K annually. I also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1988 – 1991, so I was certainly willing to fight for “a commodity” as you put it. I was willing to “pitch in” and fight. Now, what are your credentials? Have you served your country? Were you willing to fight for the freedom that I have provided you?
Most of the rich in this country started from humble beginnings, including myself — there are actually very few Paris Hiltons. I was raised in a small town in Missouri, the son of a Boeing union worker. I went to public school, a state university, worked my way through college, and worked hard for the next 20 years to get to where I am today. I served my country, I give more to charity than many people make in a year, and I owe you no explanation. I have relatives who have served in both Iraq and Afganistan, and we are all proud of our military service. Many of my collegues (who are also “rich” in your opinion) have served, the most recent one returning from Iraq in September 2008 after a year of service there.
The difference between the rich and the non-rich is that we have the drive and determination to become rich. Most of us are not born rich, but through hard work, perseverance, good decisions and a lot of past failures, we have succeeded. And you could too, if you could stop being so bitter about not being rich, and work hard to join us. People like you always bring up this argument that “the rich won’t fight” and we never reply because, quite frankly, many of us are so grateful for what we have that we don’t want to appear snobby. Well, I’ve had it. I worked hard to get where I am, nobody gave me any hand-outs, I have nothing to be ashamed of, and I’m not going to take this crap any longer.
Read some books, find something you love to do and work hard at it, and you can succeed. Henry Ford said, “Some people succeed because they are destined, but most people succeed because they are determined.” America is a place where anyone can become President, and anyone can succeed. You can either sit back and complain, or you can get motivated and do something. It is your choice, but stop whining about the rich since you obviously don’t know what you are talking about.
