Standing tall and apart from social justice warriors and the gender-confused exploiting the Summer Olympics, two American athletes are praising God and country in Tokyo. They are 400-meter hurdling gold medalist and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin and gold medalist wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock.

After winning at 68 kilograms, Mensah-Stock said, “It’s by the grace of God that I’m able to even move my feet after winning gold. I just leave it in his hands, and I pray that all the practice, all the hell my freaking coaches put me through, pays off, and every single time it does. And I get better and better. And it’s so weird that there is no cap to the limit that I can do. And I’m excited to see what I have next.”

“It feels amazing,” role model Mensah-Stock said of having the privilege to compete for America. Wrapped in the stars and stripes, she continued: “I love representing the U.S. I freaking love living there, I love it, and I’m so happy I get to represent U-S-A.” So sorry she ruined your day, America haters.

McLaughlin said she was just trusting the process and giving the glory to God. She edged out teammate and friend Dalilah Muhammad in the Olympic finals. Citing scripture, McLaughlin said that for her and her teammate it’s a matter of iron sharpening iron. Both of them bested the previous world record held by McLauglin.

In a world full of inconsistency, McLaughlin said it’s a breath of fresh air to find true stability in Jesus. “I felt immediate excitement and overall gratefulness. I owe it all to God, my family and my team. I’m still in disbelief, but it’s truly just faith, trusting the process, and seeing my hard work along with the gift of God being put into action.”:

“The peace of knowing I will always have a friend, always have His support, and always have His LOVE; makes even the loneliest of moments feel full. My soul finds rest in knowing He is not like us. He doesn’t change, and He will never leave me. Giving the ability to be completely content, no matter the situation. Simply because, I don’t have to face it alone. That. Is. Love.”

Here’s a recent Instagram message by McLaughlin with more about her faith:

Aren’t these young ladies refreshing in the age of disgraceful protests, social justice grandstanding, virtue signaling and America hating? Bring on the love of God and country, proud Americans. The Tokyo Olympics have brought more than their share of negatives, and now we have some incredibly positive take-aways to remember. Not to mention new role models.
