Australian Politics – IPSOS Poll: Liberals Recover To 48/52 Split

The IPSOS poll does bounce around a bit, but today’s numbers are more heartening for the Liberals than were recent polls: 48 per cent after preferences to Labor’s 52.

So situation critical but not hopeless.

The poll also suggests a fertile field for the Liberals that it has so fair failed to till – 47 per cent of voters say the government’s first objective in energy policy should be to cut prices. Just 39 per cent say it should be to cut carbon dioxide emissions.

And remember: that’s even after the Government has refused to explain that cutting our emissions actually makes no difference to the temperature, which hasn’t even been rising as expected anyway.
