Dumb And Red: The New Millennials In Australia

This is ominous:

A new survey has found that Australian Millennials have lurched so far to the left most think capitalism has failed and that socialism is a better economic system.

A YouGov/Galaxy poll has found 58 per cent of the generation born between 1980 and 1996 hold a favourable view of socialism. Favourability was even higher among those with a university education — 63 per cent, according to the poll released today by the Centre for Independent Studies.

It seems our universities are coaching a new generation of socialists without telling them about the disasters socialism has caused:

More than half (51 per cent) hadn’t not heard of Chinese communist revolutionary Mao Zedong, who was responsible for as many as 45 million deaths during his ‘Cultural Revolution’. Similarly, 42 per cent of Australian Millennials didn’t know of Vladimir Lenin, the father of modern communism, or World War II Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, who was responsible for the deaths of up to 43 million people.
