Climate Change Australia – Journalist Niki Savva ‘Verbals’ Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott, And Then Calls The Truth Crudely Provocative

Here in Australia, journalist Niki Savva is so blinded with hatred for the former Prime Minister Tony Abbott that – like Peter Hannam – she misquotes him in order to mock him, and then calls him “crudely provocative” for citing a fact:

First, Abbott did not say in his speech “climate change was not real”. He instead acknowledges there has been some warming, albeit less than predicted. For instance:

After two decades’ experience of the very modest reality of climate change but the increasingly dire consequences of the policy to deal with it, anything else would be a dereliction of duty as well as a political death wish.

So Savva just made up her claim. Will she correct it and apologise?

Second, the Lancet medical journal confirms exactly the fact that Savva calls “crudely provocative”:

Cold weather is 20 times as deadly as hot weather... The study — published in the British journal The Lancet — analyzed data on more than 74 million deaths in 13 countries between 1985 and 2012. Of those, 5.4 million deaths were related to cold, while 311,000 were related to heat.

Same story in Australia:

A new study published in The Lancet shows 6.5% of deaths in this country are attributed to cold weather, compared with 0.5% from hot weather. Most deaths will be from cardiovascular and respiratory disease, as it’s the heart and lungs that struggle when we are outside our comfort zone.

So let’s sum up: facts don’t matter to Savva if she can slime Abbott, and they are “crudely provocative” when they support Abbott.

This is unhinged.

Why believe a thing she writes about him?

And Lancet confirms cold weather is 20 times deadlier than hot.
