Celebrity climate extremist Bill Nye thinks the solution to dealing with “climate deniers” might be to just wait for them to “die” out. Talking to the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, he mocked “people who are afraid in general” as older and added, “Climate change deniers, by way of example, are older. It’s generational. So we’re just going to have to wait for those people to ‘age out,’ as they say.”

In case this wasn’t clear, Nye sneered, “‘Age out’ is a euphemism for ‘die.’ But it’ll happen, I guarantee you — that’ll happen.” In the same interview, the Netflix host portrayed himself as the victim: “I’m not the guy denying climate change. You guys started it. I didn’t want be political. You made it political — clowns.

He doesn’t make it political? This is the same Nye who in June snarled at Donald Trump, “You can’t build a border wall against carbon dioxide emissions.” And yet, journalists insist on pretending that he’s just an objective science voice.

On July 10, 2017, CBS This Morning’s Charlie Rose wondered why people couldn’t simply trust him and what other activists tell them: “The area that you’re concerned about, climate change, why do you think… so many people are reluctant to accept what others believe science tells them?”

Perhaps it’s because he does things like compare the climate change fight to winning World War II?

How extreme is Nye? On February 16, 2015, as snow hit much of the country, he chided MSNBC for not immediately blaming climate change: “Just say the word climate change. Just, like, ‘It could be climate change. It’s a possible connection to climate change. Is this evidence of climate change?” As the Free Beacon’s David Rutz noted, Nye also pondered the idea of jailing climate skeptics.
