The Climate Council, formed in 2005, once had the money and clout to push fake warming scares and dodgy science with the help of Cate Blanchett and Michael Caton.
Remember its ad, falsely suggesting global warming schemes were about taking soot out of the air, not limiting invisible carbon dioxide emissions:

After a decade of climate advocacy work, climate change research organisation the Climate Institute has announced it will be closing in late June.
The non-profit’s survival has until now been dependent on donations, and it has cited a lack of funding as the reason for its closure.
There is indeed a change in the climate. But it’s the intellectual climate.
