1 The US Senate vote on stopping the EPA’s global warming power grab has been slightly delayed due to politics — so if you have not contacted your senator, there is still time to do it!

The importance of this can not be overstated. Here is a sample article about this major issue  <<http://tinyurl.com/3m6zkp4>> and here is one about the current status <<http://shopfloor.org/tag/mcconnell-amendment>>.

Go here http://www.kintera.org/c.5oJELSPwFhJWG/b.6074153/k.8B4D/Action_Center/siteapps/advocacy/ActionItem.aspx?c=5oJELSPwFhJWG&b=6074153&aid=15301 to fill out a simple form to send to your representatives to support the McConnell Amendment, which would restrict EPA’s unwarranted and unscientific intrusions. It will only take two minutes, so please do this right now.

2The US Senate Energy Committee recently issued a white paper about a proposed Clean Energy Standard (CES) — something that may profoundly affect the future of wind energy in the US. There is now a public comment period which ends on Monday, April 11th.

We need to submit intelligent responses to counter the expected rent-seeker inputs. Get all the needed documents here:

My strategy is going to respond to the Executive Summary part only (and then elaborate a bit on an Additional document), as I am advocating the Big Picture approach. To me the fundamental problem here is with methodology.

Here is the draft version of what I am intending to submit (http://www.northnet.org/brvmug/WindPower/CES_Submission_Draft.pdf). If you have suggestions for improvements, please let me know.

For maybe the first time ever, a state (Colorado) is being sued that their RPS (mandating wind) is unconstitutional. See “Putting Wind On Trial” <<http://baconsrebellion.com/2011/03/31/putting-wind-on-trial/>>.

A more detailed elaboration on the suit (which also is a fine overall indictment of wind energy, and is applicable anywhere) is: <<http://www.masterresource.org/2011/04/renewable-lawsuit-colorado/>>.

I have provided some assistance with this suit and fully support this effort. If this lawsuit is successful it will pave the way for similar suits in other states. To financially support this significant cause please email Attorney Dr. David Schnaredwschnare@gmail.com”.
