“Perhaps the strongest feature in his character was prudence, never acting until every circumstance, every consideration, was maturely weighed; refraining if he saw a doubt, but, when once decided, going through with his purpose, whatever obstacles opposed.” –Thomas Jefferson, on George Washington in a letter to Dr. Walter Jones, 1814

Comparisons to Reagan in August 1982 Provide Obama Little Refuge Ronald ReaganUnable to defend their governance with citation to substantive achievement, liberals frequently resort to comparing Barack Obama’s approval rating with Ronald Reagan’s at this point in his tenure.

Unfortunately for Obama, such comparisons are inapposite. They begin to highlight the two presidents’ differing trajectories, as well as the healthy optimism engendered by Reagan versus the destructive pessimism Obama sows.

Top Economist: Passing Union-Backed Bills Creates a ‘Ponzi Scheme’
An economist at the nonpartisan Hudson Institute says that if House and Senate Democrats pass the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) — known as the “card check bill” — in this Congress, it would create a “ponzi scheme” environment. Diana Furchtgott-Roth, a former chief economist at the US Department of Labor, said on Tuesday that implementing card check would allow unions to swell their ranks with new members who would have to be signed up and pay money into failing union pension plans. “It shouldn’t be allowed,” she said. “It’s a Ponzi scheme as bad as Bernie Madoff.”

YouTube Winning Over Content Owners
The New York Times
Every week, consumers view some two billion ad-supported videos on YouTube, and, according to The New York Times, a third of them are uploaded without the copyright owner’s permission but left up by the owner’s choice. “They are automatically recognized by YouTube, using a system called Content ID,” writes The Times. Rather than kill the video, however, an increasing number of content owners have “decided to leave clips like this up, and in return, YouTube runs ads with the video and splits the revenue.”

As The Times notes, YouTube’s new profitable relationship with content creators was not always so easy … For a long time, YouTube executives spent their time across conference tables with lawyers worried about copyright violations.” Indeed, “It was 90 percent lawyers in a meeting and the marketing people faded into the background,” Chris Maxcy, YouTube’s director of content partnerships, tells The Times. “Now the partners we are working with get checks that get bigger every month. And now when you walk into a meeting there’s almost no lawyers.” – Read the whole story…

Obama And The Economy- Quote Of The Week

“We did the mosque, Katrina, Iraq, and now Middle East peace? And in between you redo the Oval Office? It has become a jokeDemocratic strategist who works closely with multiple candidates and spoke on the condition of anonymity

From a Wapo article titled, “White House considers pre-midterm package of business tax breaks to spur hiring.”

There is no doubt that a president’s job is difficult and much of what is done is done behind closed doors. Obama can make speeches, can push his agenda, etc… but bottom line is what the public sees and what the anonymous Democratic strategist stated is exactly what the public sees in the news, on televisions and on blogs.

People are watching the unemployment rate continue to rise (9.6 percent as of this months release), they are watching the news which tells them Obama and Democrats have raised our national deficit massively, they are watching Democrats flounder and spend spend spend…. money our country doesn’t have.

The pubic is also seeing pictures of the Michelle Obama on vacation, photos of Barack and family on vacation, news of the redecorating at the White House, lets not forget all those pictures of Obama playing golf…….. right or wrong, what they see is what they believe, what they do not see is what they generally ignore.

What they see, their perception, is a government so out of touch with the American majority that every single legislative “win” they have had they did against the opposition of the majority of Americans evidenced by multiple polls done by a variety of organizations at the time.

Perception is reality.

Prison converts to terror

We frequently read in the media about Muslims who have been “radicalized.” Rarely is there an examination of what that means or how it happened.

We know that a high percentage of mosques in this country contain materials that promote political Islam, sharia law, hatred of Jews and “infidels,” and jihad. Not surprisingly, the number of homegrown jihadists in America is growing.

But another area that has been exploited by Islamists is our prison system, which is also contributing to the accelerating threat of homegrown jihadism.

JAG HUNTER SENDS: Lieutenant Colonel Lakin’s defense: No commander in chief…no court-martial!

Ms. Hemingway, JAG HUNTER here:

Lieutenant Colonel must challenge the authority of his Attainder Court-martial as is laid out in plain language before.

Laconically: Without a legitimate United States commander in chief there is absent authority to assemble (convene) any U.S. Court-martial!

This action must be taken today!

The 50 Worst (Congressmen who betray America’s workers)

Chris Chmielenski’50 Worst Deserters’ of America’s Unemployed

An op-ed in the New York Times on Friday morning called this Labor Day “the worst Labor Day in the memory of most Americans.”

New unemployment numbers came out today, showing a slight increase in the overall unemployment rate during the month of August from 9.5% to 9.6%. And yet, in none of the articles discussing the ongoing jobs shortage is the continued importation of 125,000 foreign workers every month mentioned.

For this Labor Day, Roy felt it was appropriate to identify Congress’ “50 Worst Deserters” of the country’s 22 million American’s looking for work.

Please take a look at this list and see if either your House Rep or Senators are on the list of the “50 Worst Deserters.” If they are, there’s a fax on your Action Board letting them know that they’ve deserted America’s unemployed.
