Lou Dobbs Says He’s Leaving CNN

We here in Australia get very little in the way of U.S. TV, even on the cable network, so the departure of Lou Dobbs from CNN would rate no mention at all. So I went looking for some information when this was brought to my notice.

It would seem that Lou is one of those rarest of all commentators on the Mainstream Networks, a Conservative commentator. Reading between the lines of what he says, one can only draw the distinct impression that what he was saying on CNN was not what the Network wanted to espouse. He mentions that he wants to keep contributing to the debate over the direction that the Country is moving.

Just a hunch, but I’d be thinking a man of his vast experience would not be too long away from TV, and maybe he might just be popping up soon on ….. say Fox.

You may think it unrelated, but a similar thing is happening here in Australia.

Those Commentators from the right are the ones who seem to rate the highest. In Australia, those commentators are mainly on radio, and they are the ones who are the ratings leaders.

Although diametrically different from the U.S. Australia is strikingly similar in many respects to the U.S.

A wry comment here, but I was just wondering if his resignation has anything to do with his house being shot at two weeks back. If he’s a Conservative Commentator, then it wouldn’t be those agreeing with him shooting at his house. It would seem that not all ‘gun loving bitter clingers’ are only on the Conservative side.
