Last fall, Barack Hussein Obama pledged that his administration would carry out a “fundamental transformation of the United States of America.” Today, as we reflect on the first 100 days of the Obama regime’s occupation of the executive branch, with Party allegiance in the legislative branch, it pains me to report that he has exceeded the wildest expectations of his Socialist constituencies. 
In the wake of last year’s “October Surprise” (the catastrophic meltdown of the nation’s largest financial institutions), his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, said of Obama’s strategy, “Rule 1: Never allow a crisis to go to waste. They are opportunities to do big things.”
Indeed, Obama has done BIG things. In the words of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, “Obama’s first 100 days have been spectacularly successful. Obama is the strongest domestic Democratic President since Lyndon Johnson. … In just 100 days, Obama has been devastatingly effective in moving forward swiftly the most radical, government-expanding agenda in American history.”
How did that happen?
Some political scientists argue that democracy is a conduit for “peaceful revolutions,” including radical shifts in political ideology, without a shot being fired.

After only a day and a half of defense witness testimony, the defense rests its case. The prosecution rested on day 3. Day 4 started the defense’s side of the story, and now it’s only closing arguments and deliberation of the jury. This case may even be over today.
Background: Four teenagers in Shenandoah, PA accused of murdering an illegal alien from Mexico on July 12, 2008, simply for being brown, because one of the boys told Luis Eduardo Ramirez Zavala to return to his home country. One of the teens is charged in juvenile court, another turned state’s evidence. Of the two that are left, one is 17 and faces possible 3rd degree murder with ethnic intimidation, the other is 19 and faces aggravated assault with ethnic intimidation. Both have underage drinking charges as well.
This story has caught national media attention and brought the ire of brown supremacy groups across the country, especially MALDEF, who has been preventing the DA from giving the reasonable plea agreement he offered right before the dismissal hearing in the fall.
The witnesses on both sides contradict each other and themselves. I don’t see how a jury could be certain beyond a reasonable doubt about who actually might have been responsible for the death of Ramirez, but juries can be strange sometimes. Start praying.

The size of the U.S. doubled APRIL 30, 1803, with the Louisiana Purchase. Nearly a million square miles, at less than three cents an acre – it was the greatest land bargain in history!
President Thomas Jefferson commented on it in his Second Inaugural Address, March 4, 1805: “I know that the acquisition of Louisiana has been disapproved by some from a candid apprehension that the enlargement of our territory would endanger the union, but who can limit the extent to which the federative principle may operate effectively?”
For fifteen million dollars, France sold its land west of the Mississippi, called the Louisiana Territory, because Napoleon Bonaparte needed money quickly for his military campaigns. Napoleon fought in Europe, Egypt and Russia, but was finally exiled to the island of Elba. Napoleon returned to rule France again for 100 days, but after losing at Waterloo in 1815 he was banished to the tiny island of St. Helena in the South Atlantic, where he commented to General Count de Montholon: “Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and myself founded empires; but upon what foundation did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force! But Jesus Christ founded His upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for Him.”

Come on, who’s surprised? The White House-engineered photo-op of low-flying Air Force aircraft that caused terror in New York City this week epitomizes the Age of Obama. What better way to mark 100 days in office than with an appalling exercise in pointless taxpayer-funded stagecraft?
The superficiality, the unseriousness, the hubris, the obliviousness to post-9/11 realities: They were trademarks of the Obama campaign, and they are the tattoos on his governance.
He never leaves home without his teleprompter. All the Obama world’s a stage. Or a world ready to be staged.
So is it any wonder he would staff his White House military office with a clueless paper pusher who saw nothing wrong with spending inordinate government resources — and re-creating 9/11 havoc — to update Air Force One publicity shots? And who planned, believe it or not, to do the same in Washington, D.C., next month, where the 9/11 jihadists murdered 53 passengers and 6 crewmembers on board American Airlines Flight 77, and 125 military and civilian personnel inside the Pentagon?
All for some publicity shots.
No one should be shocked. Remember: Barack Obama is the frivolous man who concocted his own presidential-looking Great Seal before he was elected. An ego big enough to publicly display a ridiculous “Vero Possumus” (“Yes, we can” in Latin) motto and a regal eagle with the Obama campaign logo emblazoned on its chest is an ego capable of far more reckless things.

Wrestling fans were shocked this week when Arlen Specter turned on long-time friend Hulk Hogan by blind-siding him with a steel chair.
Hogan and Specter had just lost their fifth consecutive tag team match to the evil Russian Bolsheviks when a frustrated Specter blamed Hogan for the loss and took matters into his own hands.
“I’m sick of hanging around with losers like Hulk Hogan,” Specter shouted into the microphone at Madison Square Garden, “I’m the real talent here. I’m the person everybody wants to see. I’m more man than you, I’m prettier than you, I have a nicer limousine than you, and my pectoral muscles are way more pert, Hogan.”
Specter again shocked the fans by quickly aligning himself with the evil Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, ringside manager to some of the most dastardly wrestlers in the business. Ironically, Specter has aligned himself with other members of Heenan’s family, including former enemies, the evil Russian Bolsheviks.
“Arlen Specter has seen the light,” said Heenan, “This is the real talent. He’s been carrying Hogan on his back for too long. Now that he’s joined me, he’s going places. Today we destroyed Hulk Hogan. Tomorrow, we’ll take out Roddy Piper. You’ll all learn to be Specter Respecters or you’ll have to try and survive the Specter Slam.”
An interviewer caught up with an irate Hulk Hogan backstage after the match.
“Well, you know something, brother?” shouted Hogan, “If Arlen Specter wants to turn his back on all his Specter-maniacs; if Arlen Specter wants to be a yellow, spineless, pencil-necked, bottom-feeding, dumpster-diving, coward; then he won’t just have to answer to Hulk Hogan. He’ll have to answer to 30,000 screaming Hulkamaniacs! We’ve been saying our prayers, doing our training, and eating our vitamins, and we’re ready to put you away, Arlen Specter. So, I have to ask you, brother, what are you gonna do? What are you gonna do when these twenty-four inch pythons and all the Hulkamaniacs run wild on you!”
Hogan concluded his interview by posing and showing his musculature in an exaggerated fashion before leaving the arena in a huff.
Fans were still trying to process what had just happened after the event had concluded.
“I don’t get it. We loved Arlen Specter,” said Kelly Simon, a wrestling fan, “He was Hulk Hogan’s best friend and he was such a nice, kind, gentle person. I never saw this coming. I’m so upset; I don’t know what to do.”
Other fans disagreed.
“Specter is a glory hound,” said R.D. Braxton, another wrestling fan, “He’s wanted Hogan’s spotlight from day one and couldn’t take the fact that he wasn’t worthy to share the spotlight with the Hulkster. He took a shortcut. He took the easy way out. I can’t wait to see Hogan, Piper, and Snuka beat the living crap out of him. If we’re lucky, Specter will get clobbered over the head with a steel chair, slammed through a table, and DDTed into the concrete floor. That’s pretty much the only thing that would satisfy me.”

The image here shows an offshore Wind Power Generating Farm. Here you see 20 huge towers, each with a 3MW nacelle on top. The rated nameplate capacity in total is 60 MW. The power rating operates at 30% efficiency, so, over a full year, it will supply 160,000,000 Kilowatthours (KWH) of usable electrical power to consumers. That exact same amount of power can be produced from a large coal fired power plant with a nameplate capacity of 2000MW every three and a half days, and at one tenth of the price.
That’s the target proposal for a federally mandated renewable portfolio standard RPS (also called renewable electricity standard RES) in which the federal government would mandate to have 25 percent of the nation’s electricity from renewable energy by 2025 – primarily wind, solar and hydro.
During the Congressional hearings last week, Congressman G. K. Butterfield (D-NC) told Chairman Henry Waxman, “Not only is [a 25% mandate] impractical, it is impossible.”
By creating a federal renewable portfolio standard, the government is essentially forcing costlier, less reliable energy on the people. These are not my figures. They are taken directly from the Gallup Poll results, and mentioned in this article from The Washington Times.
This shows the approval rating of Presidents after their first 100 days, and includes data for recent Presidents. Gallup started taking this data in 1969.
Ronald Reagan (1981) 67%
Jimmy Carter (1977) 63%
George W. Bush (2001) 62%
Richard Nixon (1969) 61%
George H.W. Bush (1989) 58%
Barack Obama (2009) 56%
Bill Clinton (1993) 55%
Gee!
That’s a bit of a shock. Fancy George W. Bush being 6 points more popular than Obama after the first 100 days, and Obama only 1 point more popular than Bill Clinton.
It sort of puts things a little more into perspective. If you believed everything you read in the mainstream media, you’d think this guy would be rating off the map.
I’m also willing to bet that not many of you would have seen this in any of those media outlets, which is why these numbers were so hard to find.
Keep in mind, these are Gallup’s numbers not anything I’ve made up.

I was unable to attend the trial for day 2 due to one of my children undergoing a medical procedure after a lump was found. She’s sore, but doing well. I think she may go back to school Thursday. Your prayers for her full recovery and that the testing proves nothing sinister are appreciated.
My regular sources are not able to discuss the testimony with me just yet, so this recap will be pulled from other sources and not what I heard with my own ears. We all know the other news media tend to distort what’s actually being said, but we’ll try to piece it all together.
The judge orders the jury not to watch this week’s Law and Order episode, so that it won’t influence their decision. Read the recap and spoiler of that episode here. (I broke that story, BTW!)
First up: Brian Scully, the one charged as a juvenile. Scully says that he has not yet had his own day in court, and states that he made no promises regarding his testimony. He was drinking at the creek with the other teens (Piekarsky, Donchak, Walsh, and Ben Lawson). Brian says that he is the one who asked Roxanne if it was past her bedtime, and he is also the one who told Ramirez to go back Mexico. According to Scully, Brandon Piekarsky tackled Ramirez, and Derrick Donchak punched Ramirez several times while he was on the ground. Donchak and Scully cursed at Ramirez, and the fight was over. The boys were wakling away when Ramirez punched Scully. At that point Colin Walsh tried to protect his friend and punched Ramirez. Scully said that Ramirez had fallen onto his back with his eyes closed and hands lying by his sides. Scully tried to kick Ramirez, but missed, then Piekarsky kicked the man on the left side of the head. Right after the fight, several guys showed up. Okay, I can’t turn on the TV or a radio without hearing about how this apocalyptic Swine Flu plague has wiped out the last few Mexicans who haven’t already moved to the U.S. or been killed by drug cartels, and now threatens to anilate aniela annila kill the crap out of us.
It goes without saying this disease scares me, as there’s so many things I still want to do in my life, like scrapbooking and dating hot chicks.
I turned to my good friend Pepe, as (a) he’s a Mexican and no stranger to diseases, and (b) he one night “dated” a stripper that used to be a nurse so obviously knows something about medical safeguards against disease. Here’s what he told me to do:
- Stay away from Mexicans. This strategy failed, as he was like 2 feet from me when he said it.
- Don’t go to Mexico. Gladly.
- Don’t kiss anyone who’s coughing or looks sick. Unfortunately this meant curtains for my relationship with Fran Van Nutti, as she’s never looked that healthy (what’s with all the scabs?) and usually smells like a Mexico City subway seat.
- Wear a mask. I didn’t have a mask so I made one out of some old underwear that I soaked in Lysol disinfectant. It made me sick after a while so I only wear it while awake.
- Stay away from pigs that haven’t been disinfected or thoroughly cooked. I do that anyway.
One thing I’ve been noticing lately is that there are Mexicans FREAKING EVERYWHERE, and probably the only safe place is somewhere like North Dakota where they don’t have landscapers. If things get worse, I’m heading that direction.

The show starts off with a hispanic man getting up in the morning and apparently waiting for his ride to work as a day laborer. Someone appears to have been hit by a car. As the investigators discuss the scene, it becomes apparent that the person was either thrown or jumped out of a moving vehicle window due to shards of glass in his pants. Doc says guy has lots of broken bones and abrasions. Shots of man in hospital bed eerily resemble the photos given to the news media by Crystal Dillman of her sort-of fiancee Luis Eduardo Ramirez Zavala. Oh yeah, his name is “Oswaldo Morales” (oswaldo = eduardo?)
Another ‘immigrant’ tells the cops where Oswaldo looked for day labor. The cops go talk (in Spanish of course) to the other guys at the labor pickup spot. The tell the cops that Oswaldo was picked up by ‘white teenagers’ who said they needed one guy.
Shots of cops trolling youtube for “beaner videos” DA says “a new twist on hate crimes” and they watch a video of “how to take America back” where a supposed illegal alien is being tortured by loud voiced males, one of whom is brandishing a 9mm.
Checking on clues in video: 3 white kids beat up an illegal. Mechanic says one of the kids was 16 or 17, agrees to look at photo lineup. Cops tell mechanic the boys beat an illegal immigrant into a coma. Mechanic looks at pics of illegal (again looking an awful lot like Zavala Ramirez), then picks a kid out of the yearbook. Meanwhile the cops are blabbing to the school principal who says there’s resentment in the school from the athletes because the school cut some sport activities. Read the rest of this entry »

The name sends chills down the backs of freedom-loving Americans across the nation. Her semantics are becoming quite comical. In case you haven’t been keeping up with it, Nappy seems to think that illegal aliens aren’t criminals and that terrorist actions are only “man made disasters.”
With that in mind, it’s important to try to decipher the rest of Nappy’s lip-flapping to figure out what it is she’s actually saying.
CNN Interview, 4-19-09: “And yes, when we find illegal workers, yes, appropriate action, some of which is criminal, most of that is civil, because crossing the border is not a crime per se.”
Deciphered: “And yes, when we find poor, down-on-their-luck paperless immigrants who only want a better life, we LOOK THE OTHER WAY because crossing the border is listed as a civil violation in my head. It does not matter that I’m totally ignoring the fact that they are illegal workers, because I’m focusing this statement on the border crossing part as a distraction.”
General Quote: “I have long been a proponent of a guest-worker program between the United States and Mexico, and in particular I have proposed that Arizona would be an ideal location for a pilot project.”
Deciphered: “I have long been a proponent of allowing absolutely anyone to get into Arizona and the country as a whole. I do not care how many Americans are killed by illegal aliens every day, nor do I want to hear American Citizens whining and complaining about unemployment. It’s not that big a deal if half a million Americans lose their jobs every month, nothing can possibly be caused by out of control immigration and government that hates its power base.”
General Quote: “We have protected K-12 education. We have protected vital services.”
Deciphered: “We have ensured that no American children will be rewarded for excelling in educational matters, but any illegal alien fence-jumper will be commended for any slight achievement. We have also protected health care, civil rights, Constitutional guarantees, and representative government for illegal aliens.”
General Quote: “We’re already doing passive surveillance at the border,” Napolitano said. “You would close the border if you thought you could contain the spread of disease, but the disease already is in a number of states within the United States.”
Deciphered: “We’re doing next to nothing at the borders except asking if anyone has a fever. If they do, we give them Tylenol and send them through the gate. We don’t ask any pesky questions, like ‘does that dead body in the trunk have cocaine packed in the abdominal area?’ because that would violate La Raza’s unbinding hold over us. Since the Mexican Pig Flu is already in the United States, even though it’s a different strain and the version we have is not killing everyone infected with it, I don’t think closing the border would help. We’re not trying to save American lives, because Mexicans come first.”
I hope this helps you out next time Nappy starts running her mouth.

I guess that’s about the same as bowing to the Democrats, which he’s been doing for three decades now.
As the brainless twit who dumbed us all down with his “Magic Bullet Theory” in the JFK assassination, it’s a wonder as to how he’s even still in a Senate seat at all, let alone not found in an apparent “suicide” staged by God-only-knows-who.
I am now considering the possibility of switching back to a registered democrat just so I can vote against Specter in the primary next year! This ex-RINO is quite simply pulling a strategic political move, all in the name of saving his US Senate seat, which he is in serious danger of losing to Republican Pat Toomey.
Snarlin’ Arlen is also a well-known illegal alien hugger. His faulty “Ag-Jobs” bill is rife with all kinds of exceptions to the rules, and exceptions to the exceptions (it almost reads like the IRS code), all in the name of keeping his pockets lined with racist buy-offs.He voted for almost every single pro-illegal alien bill presented to the Senate. He’s an America-Hater, and belongs with the Dems.
Hey Democrats, you can have him!

“Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!” yelled Admiral David Farragut, who had lashed himself atop the mainsail to see above the smoke. His fleet of wooden ships with hulls wrapped in chains, and his four iron clad monitors, were attacking Fort Morgan in Mobile Bay, August 5, 1864.
When one of his ships, the TECUMSEH, sank after hitting an underwater mine, called a torpedo, his fleet faltered in confusion, but Farragut drove them on to capture the last Confederate stronghold in the Gulf of Mexico.
Earlier, APRIL 29, 1862, Farragut captured New Orleans, the Confederacy’s largest city. Sailing the Mississippi River at night, his ships were hard to hit, as he tied tree branches to the riggings and covered the hulls with mud.
The first U.S. Navy Admiral, Farragut declined offers to run for President. A statue of him is in Farragut Square, Washington, D.C. His son, Loyall Farragut, wrote in a book titled The Life and Letters of Admiral David Glasgow Farragut: “He never felt so near his Master as he did when in a storm, knowing that on his skill depended the safety of so many lives.”
During his last illness, David Farragut asked for a clergyman to pray to the Lord, saying: “He must be my pilot now!”

The Obama administration has done it again. Now we are sorry for something that hasn’t even been proven, man-made climate change. Today Hillary Clinton apologized for the United States at a two day meeting of the world’s major polluters.
Just what the heck are these people thinking? Maybe it’s me, but I am damned tired of the United States leading the world in apologies. We have done more to feed and protect the world than any other nation in the history of this planet. Its about time this Administration show some pride in this country instead of finding something to apologies for every thirty seconds.
What’s next? Is Obama going to apologize for Swine Flu? Or maybe for that horrible Indian Ocean Tsunami?
A little over 20 years ago Ronald Reagan called America A Shining City on the Hill
I’ve spoken of the shining city all my political life, but I don’t know if I ever quite communicated what I saw when I said it. But in my mind it was a tall proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, wind-swept, God-blessed, and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace, a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity, and if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get here. That’s how I saw it and see it still.

A lot has been said about Arlen Specter switching from the Republicans to the Democrats, and you probably think that there’s not much I can add. After all, I’m from Australia, so what would I know about anything like this. However, before you brush off my comments, consider this.
Arlen was a Democrat in his youth, and then switched to the Republicans.
He was first elected to the Senate in 1980 under the first Reagan tent, when Democrats were on the nose everywhere after the bumbling Carter Administration, and he is the longest serving Senator in Pennsylvania’s history having been elected for five terms.
He seemed to be a moderate Republican, leaning closer to the Democrats than most, and we even have him here in our tag cloud as a RINO, so that’ll have to change I guess.
He most effectively showed his Democrat leanings when he was one of the few Republicans who voted for ‘Porkulus’.
Keeping that in mind, my guess is that the Republicans would now want someone in the Senate who might better reflect their ideals.
Specter is up for election at the mid term in 2010, so he missed out somewhat on the rush towards the Democrats at the last election. So now having voted for Porkulus, and making his intentions a little less hazy, and with the Republicans probably wanting a real Republican in the seat he holds, they are running Pat Toomey for a Republican Senate Seat in PA, directly up against Specter.

Republicans and Democrats alike are voicing their concerns over the Clean Energy and Security Act that includes a renewable portfolio standard, federal spending for clean energy technology, and above all else, a cap-and-tax program that would attempt to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Introduced by Chairman Henry Waxman (D–CA) of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Chairman Edward Markey (D–MA) of the House Energy and Environment Subcommittee, the bill would have devastating long-term economic effects, which in turn, is causing Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle to raise a number of legitimate concerns. Among their primary concerns are:
Job Losses. Members always want jobs coming in to their respective home states. They may want to believe green job creation will be the answer but believing can only take you so far. When it comes down to it, 85 percent of our energy demand is met by fossil fuels and virtually every Member, including those in the energy committees, faces costly tradeoffs. Take, for instance:
Utah: Congressman Jim Matheson, “sees several ways this bill could result in a huge ‘income transfer’ from his state to those less fossil-fuel dependent.” And he’s absolutely right, but it would be much more than income transferred out of his state. In our analysis of the less stringent Lieberman-Warner cap-and-tax bill, in the year 2025 alone Utah would have lost over 5,000 jobs and nearly $1 billion in GDP. Matheson’s district alone would have lost between 1,375-1,884 jobs.

F 22 Raptor with Desert camouflage.
Part of the Obama Defense cutbacks includes the closing of the F 22 Raptor program.
Now you may think that cutting back on really expensive programs like this may not mean much in the overall scheme of things, but consider this.
A lot has been said about the F 22 Raptor, and most of it is from uninformed amateurs who have no real idea of just what an advantage having an aircraft like this really is, especially for the deterrent factor. Those commentators cite the Russian planes, the MiG and the Sukhoi and even the Chinese fighter as being better aircraft, but what they fail to recognise is that these foreign Fighter aircraft are from the fourth generation and the fourth and a half generation.
The F 22 Raptor is the only 5th generation fighter in active service at the current time, and now, any further orders have been cancelled.
Unlike other and earlier aircraft, this F 22 was embargoed from any sales to any other Country, so the USAF is the only Air Force that has them, giving them a huge tactical advantage, not just that they have them, but that they have actually been in service now for a time, and aircrew are current with them, whereas other foreign aircraft that may come off the drawing board soon, still have to be manufactured, and then come into service so that the pilots can become current with them. You have obviously heard of the word ‘Stealthy’ when it comes to military aircraft, and as aircraft have become more stealthy, RADAR detection has also ugraded to better detect stealthy aircraft. Even with significantly improved RADAR detection, this F 22 is so stealthy, if it shows up on RADAR at all, it is indistiguishable from your common bumblebee, and the only way opposing ground forces and airborne counterparts know that the F22 is even there is if the F 22 turns off his stealth capability.
The USAF currently operates 127 of them, and the new Administration has closed off any further production of them.
Admitted, they were costly during the manufacture and development phase, but now that they are in operation, the USAF considers the F-22 a critical component of the US strike force, and claims that the F-22 cannot be matched by any known or projected fighter aircraft.
The Chief of the Australian Defence Forces, Air Chief Marshall (4 Star) Angus Houston, who was a ‘fast jet’ pilot with the Royal Australian Air Force said categorically that the F-22 will be the most outstanding fighter plane ever built.
Just like the ‘canning’ of the New Generation Bomber mentioned in the earlier post, this unwise decision to cancel any new orders for this aircraft, the F 22, will only lead to one thing.

F 35 Lightning Joint Strike Fighter.
I suppose we can only hope he doesn’t cast his eyes in the direction of the newer Joint Strike Fighter project currently well under way to supplement the F 22 Raptor with the new F 35 Lightning, also a fifth generation fighter aircraft.
Those other Countries who have nothing like these aircraft even in development must be sighing with relief.

First new navy ships, then the F-22. Now another program dies.
The Air Force was in the process of finally upgrading its long-range heavy bomber, the B-52 with a new platform. Dubbed the New Generation Bomber (NGB), the aircraft was to be a subsonic and stealthy, incorporating many features developed for other Air Force aircraft. It was expected to be fielded as early as 2018 because of the use of existing technology. In anticipation, the Air Force has stopped upgrading its old B-52s, and is planning a staged retirement.
Obama, by administrative order, appears to have stopped development of the NGB, while allowing the cycle down of the B-52s. The rationale behind this is so dubious as to be absurd. It appears that Obama demanded development of the bomber to be stopped because it would potentially be counted as a launch platform in his silly and unnecessary nuclear negotiations with the Russians so he unilaterally made sure that our country would be saddled with an aging bomber fleet of decreasing effectiveness while he pursued his feckless discussions with Putin.
So the Russians jovially reciprocated, right? Well not quite.
The Russians continue to upgrade the Tu-160 strategic bomber and acquire them at a rate of 1 per year. The Tu-160 is a sort of knock-off of the American B1-A, but much larger, with a longer range wand a bigger payload. Democrats halted production of the American version as soon as they had the votes.

William J Federer’s American Minute.
Leading the charge at the Battle of Trenton, a musket ball struck his shoulder, hitting an artery. He recovered and continued to fight for General Washington, becoming friends with French officer Lafayette.
His name was James Monroe, born APRIL 28, 1758. After the Revolution, James Monroe studied law under Thomas Jefferson, was elected Senator, Governor of Virginia and Secretary of State, where he negotiated the Louisiana Purchase and the Monroe Doctrine.
Elected the 5th U.S. President, James Monroe stated in his Inaugural Address, March 4, 1817: “I enter on the trust to which I have been called by the suffrages of my fellow-citizens with my fervent prayers to the Almighty that He will be graciously pleased to continue to us that protection which He has already so conspicuously displayed.”
In his First Annual Message to Congress, 1817, President James Monroe stated: “For advantages so numerous and highly important it is our duty to unite in grateful acknowledgments to that Omnipotent Being from whom they are derived, and in unceasing prayer that He will endow us with virtue and strength to maintain and hand them down in their utmost purity to our latest posterity.”

ONE VICTIM, TWO PUPPETS, AND THE PUPPET MASTER.

So, then, what’s the story here?
Yesterday I posted this 7 second video of John Dingell telling everybody that Carbon Cap and Trade was nothing but a new tax, and a huge one at that. Why would he, a very long serving Democrat, buck the party trend by telling everyone what they already knew, but what the new Administration tells us is absolutely vital for the sake of the Environment.
What background do all those 4 Democrats share?
Two articles from The Wall Street Journal explain just that background.
Way back in 1970, John Dingell actually helped to write the Clean Air Act, and has had a lot of input into it throughout the years.
Michigan Democrat John Dingell helped to write the Clean Air Act, as well as its 1990 revision, and he says neither was meant to apply to carbon. But in 2007 five members of the Supreme Court followed the environmental polls and ordered the EPA to determine if CO2 qualified as a “pollutant.” The Bush Administration prudently slow-walked the decision. As Peter Glaser, an environmental lawyer at Troutman Sanders, told Congress in 2008, “The country will experience years, if not decades, of regulatory agony, as EPA will be required to undertake numerous, controversial, time-consuming, expensive and difficult regulatory proceedings, all of which ultimately will be litigated.”
