Carter Blames World Financial Meltdown on Bush Administration

BRUSSELS (SR) – Former President Jimmy Carter made comments on Friday that the current worldwide financial crisis was caused entirely by the current administration.
“I think it’s because of the atrocious economic policies of the Bush administration,” slurred the 84-year-old Democrat and financial genius, who served in the White House from 1977-1981 during a disastrous period of high inflation, energy crisis, and foreign policy gaffs.
When asked if he thought maybe his administration’s creation of the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act, which forced lenders to give loans to low-income individuals with little or no assets or credit (i.e. average Democrats), had anything to do with setting the stage for the present financial mess, Carter smiled, farted softly, and said, “I like pie…”
