More on the Fitna Video

Fitna is a film by Dutch politician Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom Dutch parliament. The movie offers his views on Islam and the Qur’an. The film’s title comes from the Arabic word fitna which is used to describe “disagreement and division among people”, or a “test of faith in times of trial”. The movie, which shows the Western world some of the aims and means of its latest mortal enemy, extremist Islam, was banned first by the internet registrar Network Solutions and LiveLeak. The full version can now be seen in full on Arutz Sheva. Arutz-7 provides this service in order educate the Western world as to the dangers facing non-Muslims and Western democracies all around the world.

The movie ends with a call for Europe to defeat Islamic ideology, just as it defeated the threats of Nazism and Communism in the past…

• The US Media has show little interest in this controversial story, unlike the News media in Europe.

The Washington Post had a Reuters story which had only 1-1/2 sentences about the film’s content.
Later it ran an Associated Press story dealing with the reactions to the movie, with nothing about its content

The New York Times only reported it on Thursday.

Death threats by proponents of the religion of peace have led to the removal of the Geert Wilders film “Fitna” from LiveLeak’s servers that we linked to yesterday. In a kind of “I am Spartacus” response, numerous sites have reposted the video.

Islam is number 1. So says the Vatican. I guess if you ban all religions, kill non-believers, terrorize your populations with beheadings, clititorectomies, stonings, hangings etc, insist on convert or die, treat your women like breeders and chattel, that this is bound to happen.

I liked it. It is impressive how much they managed to squeeze into just 15 minutes. I notice several of the comments at Jihad Watch say Geert Wilders could have made it worse. Yes, he could. He left out quite a few things, but what he kept was authentic and bad enough.
