Why I’ve Removed MSNBC From My Cable Line Up
Posted by Sniper One on 09/05/2007
Tivo is a beautiful thing. I went into the channel lineup list this weekend and removed some channels from showing up when I choose to channel surf, one of which was MSNBC. And here is a prime example of why…
Olbermann from Countdown Last Night:
Mr. Bush, our presence in Iraq must end. Even if it means your resignation. Even if it means your impeachment. Even if it means a different Republican to serve out your term. Even if it means a Democratic Congress and those true patriots among the Republicans standing up and denying you another penny for Iraq, other than for the safety and the safe conduct home of our troops.
This country cannot run the risk of what you can still do to this country in the next 500 days.
Not while you are playing.
Please! This festering pile of rancid dog shit couldn’t locate his ass with a GPS, a flashlight, and detailed instructions on how to reach behind him.
Bush is talking about a troop draw-down and Olbermann is still foaming at the mouth like a rabid vampire bat.
Jules Crittenden is right on the mark (as usual)…
Olbermann’s a little out front of the herd on that. The rest of the livestock stopped when they saw the cliff. The Dems don’t want to impeach. They know they couldn’t pull it off if they did. They haven’t managed to cut off funds. They haven’t, now that I think of it, managed a damn thing except a watered down non-binding resolution in one house. The Dems, in fact, are starting to figure out that Bush is right. Bush is right. The way out is winning. They don’t much like it. It’s a big problem for them.
I’m not looking for an echo chamber from my television set, which is why CNN isn’t blocked, nor are any of the local news stations, just MSNBC. Why? Because of the vile, Bush-hating, empty-rhetoric that constantly emanates from the channel. I can feel my IQ start to drop every time I hit the channel by accident.
I’d rather watch Katie Couric pretend to be a hard-hitting investigative reporter on CBS before I’ll watch anything on MSNBC. I’d rather watch SpongeBob SquarePants report on news from Iraq before I’ll watch MSNBC.
Hell, I’ll watch CSPAN before I watch MSNBC, at least on CSPAN you see what is actually happening, even if it does put you to sleep.
American citizenship is based on the idea of diverse opinions, but just because you have a diverse opinion doesn’t mean I have to watch it. If you have an intelligent point to make, backed up by facts, I’ll be happy to listen, and debate/argue the point with you. However, if all your going to do is spew hate, then I have no time for you, or any media outlet that will give you the time of day.
